"Change Ourselves and Our World"

BLACK IDENTITY FOUNDATION, is a registered public foundation that addresses the root causes of social inequality through charitable outreach and improving mental health in our underserved communities.

We believe in demonstrating how proactive outreach in underserved communities benefits all communities. Thriving communities contribute to our society and share the responsibility of creating a better world.

Foundations like ours provide marginalized communities the additional opportunities they deserve by removing the systemic economic and racial barriers to their success.

OUR PURPOSE

MEASUREABLE CHANGE, TRANSPARENCY, ACCOUNTABILITY AND RESULTS

“Research done by the Foundation for Black Communities found that for every $100 given to an organization, only 7¢ to 30¢ ends up going to Black charities.” – CBC.ca

We’re a passionate team that doesn’t take your support for granted. Your generosity is appreciated, and we show it by ensuring your donations have a maximum impact on the lives of others. You can put your faith in our strategic plan and skillsets. Our combined individual community and work experience spans a vast amount of fields and specializations. We usher in positive change through our unique campaigns, then take things to the next level by utilizing every modern resource available. Our focus remains on solutions that are efficient and cost-justifiable. We always hold ourselves accountable for our performance and use analytic data to make real-time adjustments to our strategies.

Black Identity Foundation delivers sustainable winning strategies, and your generous donations contribute in whole or part to our following charitable purposes:

– To promote health by providing individuals with mental health conditions with access to related counselling, information, or group support programs by operating a telephone helpline.

– To relieve conditions attributable to being aged by providing personal care, housekeeping, meals, nursing, shopping assistance, and transportation to medical appointments to aged persons who are frail.

– To relieve conditions attributable to being aged by providing counselling, workshops, and support services to victims of elder abuse.

– To address and prevent problems faced by children or youth by providing publicly available crisis counselling.

– To receive and maintain a fund or funds and to apply all or part of the principal and income therefrom, from time to time, to charitable organizations that are also registered charities under the Income Tax Act (Canada).

– To undertake activities that are ancillary and incidental to the attainment of the above charitable
purposes.

VOLUNTEERS WANTED

WE'RE LOOKING FOR YOUR PARTICATION

The backbone of our charitable foundation is its volunteers. Without the support of the good people who donate their time to our causes, we would not be able to inspire change and empower communities. If you can’t donate your time, consider donating a gift. It goes a long way to supporting our volunteers and providing the tools they need to do outreach in their local communities.

Our charitable campaigns include a helpline that supports mental-health and provides life-changing resources to support underserved communities, including our elderly.
